Device Distribution for Virtual Instruction (PICKUP - FRIDAY APRIL 17TH)

Good evening. This is Doctor Christopher Eaton, principal of Banneker Career and Transition Center, with an important message for parents and guardians. I know this is a challenging time for our families, especially if you’re worried that your child does not have a computer device to access to online lessons and learning opportunities.

To assist our families, Los Angeles Unified is providing devices [and internet connections] to students who do not already have them. The distribution will take place on Monday, March 30th, and Friday, April 17th, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Curbside delivery in front of the school library. We ask that all parents remain in their vehicles as strict social distancing protocols will be observed.

We will follow up with details on how to obtain internet access. Los Angeles Unified is committed to ensuring that all students continue to have the opportunity to succeed, despite the closure of our schools. We appreciate your patience and understanding and hope that you and your family remain safe.
